The ankle weights are helpful. Some confusion about the weights of each unit. We thought each bag was one pound, but it is 1/2 pound, which actually suited us better. The velcro is very hard to release, which would be needed if used for walking or running. It is a little frustrating when only used for lifting and old fingers find removing difficult. Overall we are satisfied and they are effective.

The two 2-1/2 lb ankle weights are good for arms, but too light for ankle weights. I would recommend the two 5 lbs weights instead. Please note that when you buy the 5 lb weight, your buying a set of 2×2.5 lbs weights. These are bulky items and wouldn’t recommend them for women. The velcro straps are heavy duty and I don’t think they’ll fall apart.

These ankle weights are 2.5lbs per leg. Not 5lb per leg. I loved using these the first week. After that I got too used to them and it was like wearing nothing at all. So I started wearing the 10lb ankle weights, which is 5lb per leg.

I bought these because I wanted to add a little more into my routine, but don’t really have the time to add. I can wear these all day long and I am in the hopes that it helps some. I walk alot, especially at work, so I figured these my give me a little more oomph as opposed to doing nothing extra at all. The first few days that I wore them I felt a slight soreness in the backs of my thighs.. the kind of feeling you get after working out. I thought they were supposed to work on your calves, but I didn’t feel anything there. That is ok in my book though because my thighs are what needs the most work lol! They fit me comfortably. I literally wore them all day long. From the time I woke up, until I went to bed and I never had any soreness or irritation from the weights themselves. I am not sure how other people are wearing them that they are uncomfortable or cause pain. I didn’t experience any of that. The velcro is strong and stay put. They don’t pop open or get caught on anything either. They seem very well made. I don’t expect them to fall apart or “wear out”

I have bumped up to the 5lb per leg ankle weights (made by this same brand) and they fit great/comfortably too.

These ankle weights are great. I like that you can remove some weights, and make it anywhere between 1 1/2 lbs to 5 lbs depending on what you need. They are high quality and are just what I needed. Very affordable.

Not bad, I suppose, but I was hoping to be able to wear them above boots, and their sizing range only barely allows them to fit around an average male ankle, so a low-calf position is right out.
