   I ordered this item and for some reason the person who was selling it never sent it to me. I got a hold of Amazon twice about this item and on both occasions the people were very friendly, kind and helped in all ways possible. I was extremely disappointed with the seller not sending me the total gym but I was pleased that Amazon made the “not getting it” more pleasant.

   The Total Gym is a great workout for anyone 12 to 120 years of age. The TG is a great piece of equipment, easy to use, TG machine and attachments are made of quality materials.

   The TG has given me a better workout than my gym did, I could tell a difference in less than a week. I purchased the ab crunch, dip bars, bar to add extra weight and the shoulder press.

   I love the option of working out anytime 24/7. I usually workout a few times a day my first workout of the day is from the TG dvd and the other two time is just working out my abs, back, chest…

   I just wish I had ordered it sooner!!!

   I have had various home gym equipment, including a bow flex. I purchased this because of space and it also looked like it offered a variety of workouts. It was easy to assembly out of the box but I found it very cumbersome to work with. I also enjoy the fluidity of the bowflex. This was very akward for me and I found that I dreaded it. After a couple of weeks I couldn’t stand it any longer and sent it back. I did try it repeatedly during those weeks to see if it was just a learning curve and would start to be less cumbersome and more fluid. But for me, it never got better. I was just grateful that I could return it.

   Easy to use right out of the box. It is heavy, but definitely manageable. There is a start up DVD that shows you exactly how to set it up right out of the box. You will be working out with in less than 30 minutes, perhaps less if you don’t worry about putting away the packing material and accessories.

   Plenty of workout videos to watch, and workout along with the video. The workout chart, and workout deck of cards clearly illustrates how to do exercises properly, and is easy to follow. There is a wide variety of exercises to perform, with variations to work the same muscle. There are included workout routines, in addition to the routines in the DVDs, to get you going.

   i find that their is enough resistance to challenge me for now. I intend to use it for general fitness improvement and muscle toning, not for body building to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

   The Total Gym seems solid. It is heavy, though not unmanageably so. There is a safety mechanism to keep the Total Gym from collapsing, which is easy, and not obstructive. The glide board is very comfortable and gives plenty of head support. The foam pads have enough cushioning, and is comfortable as well.

   I find it easy to fold and put away, although I do tend to leave it out since I use it several times a week.
