The Teeter Hang Ups EP-550 gave me immediate relief of back pain. Although not the cheapest inversion table on the market, it is well worth the price. It is made to last a life time. When compared to surgery, injections, medications, the Teeter Hangup is a bargain.

I purchased this product because I’ve been struggling with a herniated disc in my lumbar spine (L5). At times the nerve pain was so great I thought I was going to pass out simply from trying to stand up. Walking, sneezing, and trying to stand up were horrible! After I saw a Orthopaedic Surgeon, who examined my MRI, he said that the disc was not going to require surgery but I would still have the nerve pain for approximately 3 months. As an alternative he recommended decompression treatments at a chiropractor and/or an epidural to dull the pain. Since the epidural does not provide any healing benefits whatsoever, I decided against it. Decompression does work, however it’s pricey as my insurance does not cover chiropractic treatments.

People who have suffered from a herniated disc will understand, there simply isn’t any escaping the pain, it’s with you night and day. I did some research online and decided that inversion therapy was worth a try to use in conjuction with the decompression treatments at the chiropractor. The major selling point to inversion therapy for me, was that I could use the product at home whenever I wanted. Based on the reviews I read online about Teeter products, I decided it was worth spending the extra money and ordered the Teeter. Upon receiving the product, I was very impressed with the quality. All parts are very well constructed. Assembly was simple, it took about 30 minutes from start to finish to complete. I started my inversion routine immediately, inverting once in the morning, and then again in the evening once I’ve returned from work. The table is very comfortable. The only flaw: there is a minor discomfort when you lock your feet into place and invert. I’d recommend wearing shoes of some sort when inverting to avoid this. For me this was more of an issue intially than it is now, as I’ve adjusted some of the settings on the table which help to avoid the discomfort.

I’m not going to claim that this a miracle cure, but for those suffering from nerve pain due to a herniated disc, inverting & decompression treatments will provide the only relief you’ll be able to get short of surgery and pain killers. In the first two weeks of inverting, the relief from nerve pain was temporary lasting about 20-30 minutes after each session. Over time, as I continue to stick with my routine of inverting twice a day the pain has dulled significantly. 4 weeks into my recovery, I feel about 90% compared to what I felt before the disc herniation. While the recovery period doesn’t sound incredible, it’s drastically better than the 3 months that I was originally quoted. I can now walk, sneeze, and stand without any nerve pain whatsoever. I still have another week or two before I can start to become active again, but I’m very satisfied with my progress.

I had seen the ads on television for the Teeter Hang Ups, and every time I did, I thought, “Oh, that looks like it feels good.” So, when my doctor suggested that I get an inversion table and hang upside down for 15-20 minutes per day, I didn’t need much convincing. I chose the Teeter brand table because many of the reviews mentioned the sturdiness (and if something is going to hold me upside down by the ankles, I want it to be sturdy). I’ve now had it for nearly a week and I think it might be one of my favorite purchases ever. Hanging upside down, my brain goes to a quiet, meditative place and yesterday I got a little pop in my hip that felt great!

The machine is sturdy — the box it was shipped in was really heavy. My husband didn’t have any trouble putting it together (although, to be fair, he’s a pretty handy guy). Many of the reviews mentioned that it can get a little uncomfortable on the tops of the feet when you’re inverted, and I did initially feel some discomfort. Then I noticed that in all the literature accompanying the machine shows the model wearing tennis shoes. As soon as I tried it while wearing sneakers, the discomfort went away and I was able to hang for as long as I wanted. I highly recommend this machine to anyone considering getting an inversion table.

I just received my Teeter Inversion table today and have only used it for about 20 minutes altogether. I have 3 herniated discs in my lower back and 2 in my neck. I have been going to a chiropractor for a few months now, getting drx spinal decompression treatment, with little to no results.

NOTHING compares to the almost instant relief that I from using the Teeter for just a few minutes.

I wrestled with the idea of buying this product for a few months, now I am kicking myself for not buying it earlier. The assembly was even easy, and I’m not the best at assembling products.

I now have my life back. Do yourself a favor and buy one today.

This is a sturdy, well-made product. I have only been using it a couple of days for a lower back disk problem and sciatica. Every time I use it my back feels better for a while. I’m hoping for permanent relief, gradually. Do not need the boots as this is a much better product than the cheapo brand I tried out at Dick’s Sporting Goods, which hurt my feet.
