The problem with any of these inexpensive exercisers (I also bought a $15 bike peddal exerciser) is that there is no resistance, even on the tightest setting. BUT you can fix that problem- either wear ankle weights or wrap a bungie cord around it and tighten it to your liking. This fix sure beats buying a full size and high priced exerciser. This stepper fits under my desk at work and with the resistance fix it works really well.
This mini stepper works really well. I was amazed by just being on it for five minutes that I could feel it working. The size is great if you have limited space and you do get a great workout, I have added it to my home workout routine. I would highly recommend it.
Fix the noise it creates and it’s worth the money. Even so, the Step Away Mini Stepper Exerciser is still only worth 2.5 stars.
As the previous poster said before, there is a little noise problem in the beginning. But a little squirt of WD-40 fixed it instantly.
I’ve been using this for about a month now, and I just love it. I didn’t realize how much of a sweat you can work up in just a couple minutes. And my rear is starting to get a much cuter, rounded shape than my previous and strange fat girl pancake. (How I’m overweight with a flat butt is beyond me…)
It’s a really nice addition to your at home work out. I can squeeze in a little cardio and help the kids with homework at the same time. My kids love it too! On rainy days when thay can’t go out and play, but still need to run off a head of steam, they jump on and are worn out in 15 minutes. I’m thinking of ordering another just for them to use.
After fixing the noise problem as indicated by the seller, the stepper has been a nice adition to my personal gym. The sellers were patient and kind enough to tell me exactly what to do to fix the preblem and it worked. Now it’s nice and quiet.
