Great little unit. Took it to my doctors office and did a compaire, it was every bit as good as the pro unit they use. The only thing it is missing is a computer downlink.
The Nonin Achieve Pulse Oximeter was just what we needed. Wife is fighting asthma and lung cancer – we needed to accurately know if her breathing struggles were resulting in low Oxygen levels – we chose the Achieve because of its good reviews, accuracy testimonies, and long battery life & backlit LCD display.
We received it and were very pleased – it’s accuracy matched the readings in the Pulmonologist’s office pretty closely [within 1-2 points].
Good purchase!
We have been using a full size pulse ox for years. We always struggled to correctly put the old probes on our daughters foot/finger etc. Three to four minutes with old system is now taking thirty to fourth seconds from start of test to end of reading. Amazing piece of equipment. We brought this new pulse ox to MD appt and had near identical readings to their much larger and more expensive machine. When the doctor saw our new pulse ox, they wanted to know all the details on where to buy it, and how much! great equipment/ great price!
Nothing like something that is entirely readable and ready to go. I bought this for someone who is dear to me, suffering from PD–Oxygen levels are very important to monitor. Works very well, and seems very accurate.
I’ve used several oximeters from various manufacturers, and the Nonin GO2 is the only one that has survived my somewhat demanding use… I carry this device with me at all times, including during heavy (for me) outdoor work in temperatures from freezing to +95 Deg-F, and at times have inadvertently allowed it to become splashed with water (although not immersed or soaked). After one year, this device has caused absolutely no problems. It has been used 5-10 times per day, including one continuous 20-30 minute treadmill session nearly every day, and the battery has required replacement only twice during its first year. Accuracy comparison with my primary care provider is very good, agreeing within 1-2 percent when used simultaneously with the ‘Office’ instrument.
I don’t usually elaborate on products (my reviews for the past year range from 1-star to 5), but as a practicing electronics engineer for over 30 years, I really appreciate the rugged reliability apparent in this product.
