   I’ve found the New Balance MX series to be a great, all-round shoe. Sometimes it is difficult to find the shoes locally in the size I wear, but I’ve always been able to locate them through Amazon. In addition, the Amazon price is usually lower than I find in local shoe stores. The only reason for not giving a rating of “5″ is that I wish the shoes had a bit more arch support.

   Shoes fit perfectly. I normally go with a bigger size when wearing Nike shoes (sometimes run small) but went with my normal size. Glad I did as these shoes fit perfectly. Another thing I noticed with the last two pairs of Nike/Jordans…they squeaked as I walked. These do not.

   I have never ordered shoes over the Internet prior to this purchase – I was nervous about the sizing since different shoes in the “same size” seem to fit differently on my feet. However, I had a pair of New Balance shoes already, and couldn’t find an equivalent shoe in my size in the stores for a reasonable price, so I ordered these from Amazon in the same size as my other New Balance. The shoes arrived in a shorter time than promised and the shoes fit fine out of the box. The eyelets for the laces are plastic – I’ve never had that in a shoe before so we’ll see how they hold up. Otherwise nothing remarkable/unremarkable to report – a typical mid grade New Balance shoe. I use them for walking and as a casual shoe; no extreme sports.

   Best shoes for the best price, and they come in Wide! I still own a pair of 622s that are more than 5 years old, and they haven’t yet broken down. I use them for walking and jogging on roads and unpaved paths on the hills behind our house. These are not the lightest shoes, but the light-weight shoes don’t give me enough support (because I’m not as light-weight as I used to be!).

   I walk enough to wear a pair out in three months. They work for me.
