Good quality shoe. Made in USA. Have had several New Balance shoes previously.
I ordered by invoice the Velcro hook and eye fastener shoe per the photograph on the webpage at Amazon. Shoebuy mailed early today the package listing this model number. I opened the box to find a bone colored right sized New Balance shoe with laces. The photo to the upper right of the webpage I am typing the review on does not show Velcro on it contrasting with the one on the sell page. The one under item being reviewed shows laces in the photo contradicting the big photo on the sell page. Shoebuy has emailed me a return label and I will have to go to UPS and mail it back to get a credit to my account since they do not do exchanges on a shoe bought through Amazon per customer service lady. I do not dare order another one until I get credited for the wrong item. Clicking on my order invoice page takes me to the seller page showing Velcro fasteners plainly on the sell page. Either the model number is wrong or the photo is wrong, but I ordered Velcro and got laces. Ultimately when this is all corrected, I will go back after I get a credit to my account and try to get Velcro New Balance shoes. This may be a function of how many items and how many folks handle orders and statistically mistakes have to occur at a certain percentage. How fast I get the credit to my account after trying to UPS it back on a holiday weekend will ultimately reflect my satisfaction. It was disappointing when I opened the box and realized I was looking at the shoe lace version I had not ordered. In the hundreds of Amazon orders over years, I think this is the first one mishandled.
i have been buying the 811’s for about 2 years now and i have never been disappointed in their comfort or size. each pair is the same as the last one .as long as new balance keeps making them i will continue to buy them.
