This is a sturdy bench but I found that it appears to be sized for someone smaller than myself. Actually, I’m not even a big guy. I’m 5 foot, seven and it just doesn’t work for me. First off the gap between the seat and the back is more than I had expected and when I do sit-ups on it my back side is just on the edge of the seat near that gap so each sit-up is a little more than uncomfortable. The other thing I noticed is that when you put the back up in a 45-degree position, for pressing hand weights, your head no longer has any support and you end up with neck strain. This bench would be great for someone smaller than me.

Quality of adjustable bench material and construction could be improved.
The upper section that inclines tore and started seperating from thin plywood base. This happened after only light use during the first two weeks.
these are perfect for dumbell workout programs and i would purchase it again
I have not contacted the company yet to see if i can get a replacement upper section so I do not have a customer service comment. They provided an 800# for product support so i am expecting they will rectify this.
This bench was easily assembled in about an hour, arrived in four days via free super saver shipping, and was shipped with all parts intact. This bench is very easy to use and fits all of my needs. At $49.00, it was a bargain.
This is a great product that doesn’t take up much room. It is only 43″ long and 11″ wide. I live in an apartment so I needed something that would not get in the way. Also I am a small woman, 5′3″ & 113 lbs,and it is a perfect size for my body. I don’t see how it would accomodate anyone bigger than myself, but it perfectly fit my needs. The only drawback, as others have said, it is complicated to assemble. I could never have done it myself. I had to get a male friend with an extensive array of tools to put it together for me. But once done, it is small enough to fit in a corner of my home office, beckoning me to use it !
I received my FID bench yesterday. It took about 45mins to put together. The screws came out of the packaging but Im not faulting Amazon or the Company for that. One thing i cant get is people who complain the bench is too small. (READ the info specs). It clearly states in Product Dimensions: 49.2 x 26 x 41.7 inches. GREAT product to use at home and price is right. I always do research for price and quality. I give 5* to AMAZON for getting it to me in two days for free. If you don’t have Amazon Prime then your missing out. Im 5′11 and 205lbs and bench is stable enough for me.
