I received the unit in one rather heavy cardboard case, it went together very easily and well with the enclosed instructions, and took less than 2 hours to assemble fully. My sons and I enjoy it very much. It is easy to use and transition between the station setups. Definately need the rod upgrade kits as the 210 pound standard limit is easily exceeded in a reasonble time frame.

My husband has been wanting a home gym for quite some time. My objection was the cost and “where will we put this huge monstrosity.” I did a lot of shopping and found the best price -by far- at Amazon.com. I also read the reviews and it seemed it would not take up too much space. So it was purchased and delivered quickly (free shipping). A couple of reviews said they put it together in one hour. They must be super human because it took two of us over two hours. We still felt it went quickly and are now thrilled to be using the equipment. If you are into heavy weight lifting, I agree with others that you may need to upgrade. If you are needing to tone your body and do not need 300 pounds of weight, this is perfect for you. We also purchased separately the lat bar. It is a good plus.

Set up was quick and easy. Only suggestion is if you have purchased the 310 and 410 pound upgrades, the 310 needs to be installed before inserting the rods into the frame. The 410 upgrade is just a snap on and can be easily added at any time. Very sturdy construction and love the fact no cable changes.

After using this Bowflex gym for a few months on a regular basis, the 30 lb rod snapped/shattered. And this was done by a woman who is a senior. I’ve attempted to have it replaced but with NO luck. I called Bowflex as well as emailed in the receipt twice with a message…all to no avail. The gym is now collecting dust. Based on their inability to back up their guarantee, I don’t recommend this gym.

Good for an older person. The bow technology is easy on the muscles but gives a sold workout.
